We are seeking an experienced and motivated Arena Technology Operations Manager to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of engineering, repairs, maintenance and special projects for the arena technology team while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.Your role on the team:
Manage a specialized team of Technology Support Engineers
Supervise and mentor a diverse group of team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and job fulfilmentDaily collaboration with other leaders to build camaraderie and cross-functional efficiency, with an aim towards operational excellence for the team, department, and organizationManager will be expected to support, fill in, and advocate for a highly technical staff; functional knowledge and technical skills can be developed over time - willingness to learn is essentialPosition requires non-traditional availability: ability to flex hours for nights and weekends will be required to support events as the manager on duty
Utilize a project management skillset to oversee capital construction projects, internal equipment installations and successful process development
Lead department's project management system, overseeing development of project plans, budgets and resource allocation
Lead large-scale technology projects from initiation through completion, delegating smaller projects to team members as needed
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including own team and external stakeholders, to ensure project requirements are met and risks are effectively mitigated
Oversee department asset management, including inventory management, routine maintenance and equipment lifecycles
Apply the same rigor to internal maintenance procedures to ensure building and staff are equipped to support over 150 live events annuallyWork with Director, Arena Technology to ensure healthy lifecycles for equipment by maintaining a phased, budgeted equipment replacement plan
Collaborate with Technology Services stakeholders on the implementation of asset management protocols

Your Skills and Experience:
Exceptional organization, collaboration and communication skillsPeople First, empathetic and supportive mindset as a leaderExperience leading a team of 5 or more people in a fast-paced environmentAbility to plan and execute projects with minimal direction from supervisorExperience developing, documenting, and implementing policies and proceduresProven track record of utilizing metrics and data collection in managing technology projectsExperience utilizing Monday.com or similar project management toolsAbility to illustrate project scope, deliverables, timelines and stakeholders, and then execute on a well-defined project planProven track record of record keeping and data managementExperience in technology and operations environmentsUnderstanding of budget management and technology lifecyclesAbility to problem solve in a timely mannerFamiliarity with control room operations, broadcast technology, systems and network administration, and/or live audio and lighting systemsCollege degree or equivalent experience preferredCertifications (or proven experience) in any of the following highly preferred: CAPM, PMP, Q-Sys, DanteMinimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role with multiple direct reportsMinimum of 2 years of experience as an independent project manager, demonstrating proven ability to plan, manage and complete technical projects
