We are focused on reducing pollution from the transportation industry through the use of natural gas fuel, and creating a healthier planet by eliminating carbon emissions in the transportation and dairy industries.Benefits401K, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D and more.Compensation$125,000‑$145,000, depending on experience.Job SummaryManage the month‑end close process and ensure financials are delivered on a timely and accurate basis. Lead quarterly and annual external audits, support SOX compliance, and improve accounting processes.ResponsibilitiesManage day‑to‑day accounting transactions and the GL team, ensuring proper recording in accordance with GAAP and company policies.Facilitate monthly closings and issue timely and accurate monthly financial reports.Review and ensure accuracy of balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis.Recruit, hire, train, and lead department staff.Manage quarterly and annual audit procedures for the GL team and liaise with external auditors.Assist in developing internal control policies and procedures and managing SOX compliance.Provide financial analysis support, including generation of ad‑hoc reports.Ensure all employees are well informed of accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.Facilitate consistency at all levels of accounting and finance operations.Lead efforts to automate close procedures and manage Accounting and Finance IT projects.Recommend policy and procedure improvements.Perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.At least 7 years of related experience, including 2+ years of management experience; CPA preferred.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) and accounting/database software.Strong analytical, mathematical, and reasoning skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and entrepreneurial abilities.Valid driver's license.Legal StatementClean Energy is an equal opportunity employer that welcomes qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
