Description
The City of Richmond Department of Public Works is seeking highly skilled candidates for a Management Analyst, Senior position, to support the Deputy Director of Operations and Maintenance. The incumbent will assist with analyzing, coordinating, and providing insight to the Operations and Maintenance portfolio within the Department of Public Works. The portfolio consists of six major divisions that provide critical services to the citizens of Richmond.
This position will perform professional analysis and assist the various divisions with operational improvements such as; workflow analysis, creating standard operating procedures, developing performance metrics, training, process improvement, contract administration, and project management. The incumbent will provide leadership in coordinating and developing departmental and city-wide programs, policies, and practices. The position requires the ability to independently research, evaluate, and make decisions on a variety of complex subjects. Work will include facilitating informational sessions with governing bodies, citizen groups, and elected officials. Drafting and revising documents, reviewing financial transactions, performing financial analyses; preparing public relations and marketing materials, serving as a liaison and official representative to senior staff, external agencies, and the public; managing events, programs and special initiatives that support the overall Operations Portfolio.

The working conditions may not include environmental hazards. In terms of the physical strength to perform the essential duties, this classification is considered to be sedentary, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
