The City of Pacifica is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Management Analyst I/II for full-time classification.
This position will serve as a key member of the City Manager''s Office, providing professional-level analytical, project management, and program administration support on a variety of complex organizational initiatives. A primary responsibility of the position will be administration and coordination of the City''s Short-Term Rental (STR) program, including collaboration with multiple City departments and external partners such as Code Enforcement, Police, Public Works, the City Attorney''s Office, and the City''s third-party permit and tax compliance administrator. The incumbent will monitor program performance, coordinate compliance efforts, develop recommendations for program improvements, and serve as a central point of contact for STR-related matters.
In addition to STR program oversight, the position will support implementation of City Council and City Manager priorities through coordination of special projects, strategic initiatives, and organizational improvement efforts. Responsibilities may include economic development support, strategic planning coordination, research and analysis of operational issues, development and implementation of process improvement and technology initiatives, including the use of artificial intelligence tools to improve organizational efficiency, and management of cross-departmental projects.
The position will also assist with citywide communications and community engagement efforts, including preparation of City Work Plan updates, staff reports, presentations, press releases, website content, social media communications, and outreach initiatives designed to inform and engage residents, businesses, and community stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be expected to exercise considerable independent judgment, provide high-level analytical support to executive leadership, facilitate collaboration across departments, and contribute to the advancement of the City''s strategic goals and Council priorities.
