Initiates, plans, coordinates, and implements responsible and complex management analyses, services, and activities. Perform professional work involving grant writing, coordination and administration; Conducts and/or oversees studies on operational, administrative, andlegislative issues. Advises City Administrator regarding management and administrative issues and provides highly multifaceted and responsible assistance to various departments in completing special and ongoing projects. Performs and coordinates responsible professional innovation and process improvement work designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of city operations. Reports to the Administrator or other designated person and works with a variety of Augusta, Georgia employees involved in the grant acquisition process, etc.
Education: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related occupational field. Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field preferred.
Experience: Three (3) years in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or Business Management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
This position requires staff call up in emergency situations and travel from the office less than 50% of the time.
