Position: Managed Care Reconciliation & Payments Specialist

Pay Range: $33 - $36/Hourly

Reporting To: VP of Finance

Work Type: On-site

Position Summary

Libertana is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Managed Care Reconciliation & Payments Specialist to support the organization’s complex healthcare payment model. This role focuses on reconciling managed care payments, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring accurate payment flows between health plans and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reconcile payments from managed care plans against expected amounts
2. Investigate discrepancies between claims, remittances, and submitted invoices
3. Identify and resolve underpayments and missing payments
4. Follow up with team members to resolve payment issues
5. Support accurate facility payment disbursements
6. Collaborate with billing, operations, and support teams
7. Maintain documentation for audit and compliance
8. Analyze trends and escalate systemic issues

Qualifications

1. 2–5+ years in healthcare billing, managed care, or reconciliation
2. Strong understanding of managed care payment models
3. Advanced Excel skills
4. Strong analytical and investigative mindset
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel and use of hands and fingers to operate computer, telephone, and keyboard on a frequent basis (up to 75% of the time).
2. Close vision requirements due to computer work.
3. Light to moderate lifting may be required.
