Reviews patient images and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters relevant patient and imaging data into EHR and related systems. 50Reviews patient history and physicians orders. Educates patient regarding procedures equipment and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation. 20When ordered prepares and administers contrast media andor medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reportsresponds to changes in status as appropriate. May assist physician with performing interventional procedures including fine needle aspiration and needle localization.15Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards ensures regulatory compliance including performing appropriate quality control procedures on equipment including accreditation documentation and preparation. Troubleshoots resolves andor reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Participates in ensuring compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act MQSA regulations. 15Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMinimumAssociates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical schoolRadiography certification Mammography certification - must be obtained within 12 months of hireCPR - American Heart AssociationAct 34 Criminal Background Clearance CertificateAct 33 Child Abuse Clearance CertificateAct 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance CertificatePreferredNoneDisclaimer The job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this job title.
