Description:

Radiologic Technologists are encouraged to apply. Candidates who are ARRT registered and interested in specializing in breast imaging may be hired into the role and provided training and support to obtain Mammography certification within one year of hire.

Saint Alphonsus is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mammography Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team. Our Mammographers perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while providing exceptional patient care throughout the imaging experience.

This role is responsible for performing mammography examinations and clinical breast imaging procedures, maintaining accurate patient and procedure documentation, and ensuring imaging equipment is operated safely and effectively. Mammographers play a vital role in delivering timely, accurate diagnostic services and creating a positive patient experience through effective communication and clinical excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and quality standards.

  • Conduct clinical breast imaging examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity.

  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.

  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records and procedure documentation.

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mammography equipment and related imaging technology.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and radiation safety requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Adapt communication and care delivery based on patient age, developmental level, and mental capacity.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

  • Support Saint Alphonsus' mission of providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Required

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

  • Must obtain Mammography Certification (ARRT-M) within one year of hire.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).

  • Valid driver's license and active driving privileges.
