In this role you will be:

  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate mammography and breast imaging appointments
  • Greet and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Verify patient demographic and insurance information
  • Maintain and update patient medical records and imaging documentation
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly
  • Coordinate with radiologists, technologists, physicians' offices, and other hospital departments
  • Obtain prior imaging records and ensure comparison films/images are available when needed
  • Prepare and distribute reports, correspondence, and patient notifications
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies and department forms
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital confidentiality policies
  • Assist with patient recalls, follow-up appointments, and reminder communications
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and departmental accreditation requirements
  • Perform general clerical duties including filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • EDUCATION: Associate degree in business management/administration preferred

  • EXPERIENCE:

  • Medical office experience preferred

  • Advanced medical terminology course work preferred

  • Experience with CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding preferred

  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: N/A
