Job Summary

Mammographer

13 week contract, 4/10 hour shifts, DAYS

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography screenings adhering to safety and quality standards.

  • Operate and maintain/ calibrate mammography equipment and accessories.

  • Maintain meticulous patient records and imaging documentation for review.

  • Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and privacy regulations (HIPAA/GDPR as applicable).

  • Prepare patient imaging orders, explain procedures, and ensure comfort.

  • Collaborate with radiologists to review images and determine next steps.

  • Meet or exceed performance targets and contribute to territory/pipeline metrics.

  • Participate in regular quality assurance reviews and participate in audits.

  • Pursue ongoing professional development and stay updated on latest mammography techniques.

  • Educate patients about screening benefits, preparation, and follow-up processes.

  • Assist in scheduling, workflow optimization, and ensuring high on-site visibility of tasks.

  • Support a growth-oriented environment by sharing feedback and seeking mentorship.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Certified mammography technologist with ARRT or equivalent credential.

  • Adhere to HIPAA/GDPR, infection control, and safety protocols.

  • Proficient operation, calibration, and maintenance of mammography equipment.

  • Maintain meticulous patient records and imaging documentation.

  • Meet or exceed performance targets; possess territory/pipeline mindset.

  • Ability to prepare imaging orders, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort.

  • Strong collaboration with radiologists to review images and determine next steps.

  • Participate in QA reviews, audits, and continuous quality improvement.

  • Pursue ongoing professional development; stay updated on mammography techniques.

  • Ability to handle high patient throughput while maintaining image quality.

  • Educate patients on screening benefits, preparation, and follow-up steps.

  • Support scheduling, workflow optimization, and maintain high on-site task visibility.
