Are you looking for meaningful work where you can make a real difference in someone’s life? Safe Haven Home Care is seeking a reliable and compassionate Male Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual with developmental disabilities in the Hamilton area.
Position Overview:
As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support to help your client live safely, independently, and with dignity—both at home and in the community.
Pay: $15–$18/hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
- Provide supervision and ensure client safety at all times
- Support community outings and transportation
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Encourage independence, structure, and positive routines
- Document daily activities and any changes in behavior or condition
Schedule:
- Consistent weekly hours (details provided during interview)
- Opportunity for additional shifts if desired
Requirements:
- Must be male (client preference)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check (BCI/FBI)
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have or be willing to obtain Ohio DoDD certification
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Experience in caregiving or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
