General Information:
James Madison University's (JMU) Libraries seeks a team-oriented person for the position of Makerspace Instructor. The successful candidate will assume a lead role in providing guidance and instruction to patrons and other student employees. Must be comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment. Will provide excellent customer service assisting patrons with questions related to their makerspace projects and class assignments. Must be willing to learn and advance their troubleshooting skills in a variety of applications and equipment related to audio/video production work, 3D printing, laser cutting, and textiles. Previous working knowledge of the equipment and technologies mentioned above is preferred.
Position coverage includes days, evenings, and weekends across two locations within JMU Libraries. This is a part-time wage position with no benefits working an average of 29 hours per week.
