Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), School-Based – IMPACT Project

Invo Healthcare is developing a school-based IMPACT team and is seeking a dynamic, part-time (20 hours per week) Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) to join our team in Hawaii. Invo is a leading provider of behavioral health, mental health, and therapy services in schools, centers, and communities nationwide. Our innovative IMPACT program model supports students who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) by providing integrated services designed to reduce behavioral challenges and improve academic and social-emotional outcomes.

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Hold a master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, substance abuse counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Hold current certification in the State of Hawaii as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)
  • Additional license as a LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW strongly preferred
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, email, printing, and scanning
  • Experience working with adolescents in school-based or community settings preferred
  • Successfully complete Invo and Hawaii-required background clearances/fingerprinting

What to expect in this role?

  • Provide support to youth impacted by adverse childhood experiences and behavioral health challenges
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions using evidence-based modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Seeking Safety in individual, family, and group settings
  • Collaborate with families, educators, administrators, and community providers to support student success
  • Maintain professionalism and utilize trauma-informed, non-reactive approaches when working with students, families, and school teams
  • Complete and maintain clinical documentation including session notes, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with Hawaii state regulations and school district requirements
  • Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, and behavioral stabilization efforts as needed
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP), Section 504, and student support meetings when appropriate
  • Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with applicable Hawaii state laws, Department of Education policies, and professional ethical standards
