Expected pay for this position is $44.77 - $52.67/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for the cultivation and solicitation of major gift prospects for OSF HealthCare Foundation. The Gift Officer’s primary responsibility is the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive giving program. The Officer develops a coordinated matrix of solicitation strategies involving personal solicitation, events and volunteer engagement, all focused on shaping a sustainable tradition of philanthropic support. This person has a keen appreciation for the infrastructure of philanthropic giving as the enabling component of successful major, planned, and annual gift programs and will work collaboratively with these areas and other Gift Officers throughout the Healthcare System. The Officer creates a Case for Support for all areas of their assigned entity within the Healthcare System and develops and implements solicitation strategies for programs highlighted in the entity‘s plan. The Officer identifies grateful and former patients as potential donors and reviews annual, mid-level and first-time donor lists to identify major gifts prospects.
Qualifications:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, fundraising or a related field.
Experience:
5 years of related work experience, including but not limited to sales, fund raising, working with volunteers, in a complex, not-for-profit institution with documented success in raising gifts of $50,000 or more.
