Maintenance Worker
Job Location: Patterson, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $19-$19.56/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7am-3:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Maintenance Worker, especially in landscaping? We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to support park maintenance and general labor tasks within the Parks Division. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and attractive public spaces. This position involves routine manual labor, landscaping, and maintenance work in parks and recreational areas. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in landscaping and a strong understanding of basic groundskeeping practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Water, mow, cultivate, prune, weed, and fertilize grass, plants, trees, and shrubs
- Maintain and renovate landscaped areas and park grounds
- Prepare and maintain athletic fields and related facilities
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of playground equipment, fences, tables, benches, and bleachers
- Support upkeep a shade structures and recreational areas
- Identify needs for pest, weed, and disease control
- Assist with safe application of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a government agency in a city in Stanislaus County.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred
- Ability to perform manual labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge or willingness to learn safe handling of landscaping chemicals
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
