QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prefer High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Prefer five (5) years experience in general construction and maintenance work.
  • Knowledge of basic hand and power tools found in a construction facility, including saws, drills, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance tools and equipment for use in building and grounds maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.

REPORTS TO Director of Support Services

JOB GOAL Perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance trades for the repair and improvement of buildings, grounds, and related District facilities.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs routine maintenance and repair of district buildings and related systems, including electrical, plumbing, doors, hardware, locks & keys, roofing, walls, ceiling grid, sidewalks, parking lots, etc.
  • Assists in the completion of district renovation/construction projects.
  • Performs and maintains records of routine preventative maintenance tasks according to the Districts School Facility Board Preventative Maintenance Plan.
  • Attends necessary meetings and trainings related to the position.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

  • Monitor special systems, including but not limited to security and fire alarm systems.

  • Twelve-month employee; pay and benefits in accordance with Board policy.
  • FLSA: Non-Exempt.
  • Full Time Employee; benefits in accordance with Board policy.
