At Forest Lawn, Glendale, our Bronze & Marble team is seeking a Maintenance Worker 1.
This position is responsible for performing entry-level, crypt-side and niche-side funeral services within sarcophagi, in/ under floor vaults, wall crypts, and niche banks located in outdoor gardens and inside facilities such as mausoleums.
What Youll Be Doing
Review the service sheet several days in advance to determine if there are any scheduled crypt-side and/or niche-side funeral services coming up. Double check the service sheet each morning for funeral services possibly added on the prior evening. Routinely check the Interment Order of upcoming services and verify that the (3) required approvals are present prior to opening a space.
Assist with the removing marble or granite niche or crypt fronts, and/or panel from under floor, sarcophagi, niche banks, and wall crypts; clean all interior surfaces, and remove any remaining internal vent plugs or caps. Assist with setup and anchoring of a casket-lowering device inside of the crypt and manually lower each casket into the proper space in under floor and sarcophagi vaults.

Drug Testing Policy
