MAINTENANCE TECH (CLASS 4)
Primary Goals and Responsibilities:
- Assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades
- Maintains tools and materials supply
- Cleans work area, machines and/or equipment
- Assists general maintenance workers by holding materials or tools or performing other tasks as directed
- Other duties as assigned
Role Requirements:
- Experienced in industrial safety practices.
- Has manufacturing plant experience
- Can read layout drawings
- Has 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
Working Conditions:
- Required to communicate in an industrial setting at a moderate noise level.
- Required to stand and walk on a concrete surface for 8 hours per day.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust for focus.
Work Environment:
- Moving mechanical parts
- Noise levels moderate to loud
- Non-climate control facility environment
- Employee may be required to work above ground level or in small work areas
