About the Role:

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation and pristine condition of a diverse campus of healthcare facilities, including a hospital, multiple clinics and medical office buildings in Temple, TX.

This hands-on position requires comprehensive maintenance, upkeep, and repair of small to medium-sized buildings, building systems, and equipment. Initially, you will work a first-shift schedule (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday) for training, transitioning to a dedicated second shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), which will consistently include weekend coverage where you will work either a Wednesday-Sunday or Saturday-Wednesday schedule. Your efforts will directly support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of critical infrastructure essential to healthcare delivery.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain facilities across the large healthcare campus that includes a hospital and multiple small clinics/Medical Office Buildings.
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on a wide range of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections to diagnose potential problems and execute timely repairs, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
  • Complete assigned work orders efficiently and accurately, utilizing available systems for tracking and documentation.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance tickets and critical system failures.
  • Execute general plumbing maintenance tasks such as unclogging drains, changing valves, replacing faucets, and repairing leaks.
  • Perform HVAC maintenance, including replacing belts and adjusting temperatures in patient rooms.
  • Conduct building upkeep, including changing light fixtures, patching and painting, and replacing ceiling tiles.
  • Address general electrical maintenance issues, including resetting breakers and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems as needed.
  • Support energy management initiatives by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
