We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and hands-on Maintenance Technician to help maintain our residential homes, facilities, and equipment to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep of buildings, systems, and equipment across our residential campus and support facilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep on buildings, facilities, and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and mechanical systems
- Complete preventative maintenance schedules, inspections, and routine safety checks
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs or replacement of major systems (including boilers, furnaces, and HVAC equipment)
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and organizational policies
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and service needs
- Maintain tools, supplies, and an organized, safe work environment
- Support emergency maintenance needs as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or building repair required
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and mechanical systems
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete tasks efficiently
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience
- Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and team-focused
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in both indoor and outdoor conditions
- Ability to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
- Ability to successfully pass a Live Scan background check, physical exam, and drug screening
