West Sound Workforce is partnering with a respected nonprofit housing organization in Kitsap County to hire Maintenance Technicians to support their housing sites.
This is a hands-on role focused on keeping residential properties safe, functional, and well cared for. Work includes completing work orders, assisting with unit turnovers, and supporting general upkeep of buildings and grounds to ensure a positive living environment for residents.
The team environment is collaborative and fast-moving, with shared responsibility for day-to-day maintenance needs and responsiveness to resident and site priorities.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, physical work and is looking to build or continue a maintenance career in property management and housing services.
Shift information:
What you’ll do:
- Communicate with the Maintenance Procurement & Work Order Clerk to help coordinate supplies and materials needed for daily maintenance work
- Support unit turnovers to help keep homes move-in ready, including basic repairs, painting, and installation of fixtures and hardware.
- Complete assigned work orders in both occupied and vacant units, including light plumbing, patching, and general repairs.
- Perform general property upkeep such as janitorial tasks, debris removal, and seasonal grounds maintenance.
- Keep work orders updated and accurate, follow basic safety practices and PPE requirements, and participate in an on-call rotation when assigned
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent; valid Washington State driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record, required
- Basic hands-on maintenance, construction, janitorial, or related experience, with a willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and support a team in a housing or property environment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with residents and coworkers
- Ability to perform physical work in indoor and outdoor settings, including lifting, using tools, and moving throughout job sites, with basic comfort using computers for work order tracking
