Description

**Shifts Available:

**

2nd

: 3 pm – 11 pm

3rd

: 11 pm – 7 am

**Responsibilities:

**

  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining and improving plant equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Install and bend EMT and rigid conduit up to 2 inches, and perform electrical installations and repairs.
  • Install, replace, and repair motor controls, contactors, overloads, relays, limit switches, and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot and support controller programming and industrial control systems.
  • Accurately complete maintenance documentation, work orders, and required paperwork.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors to ensure maintenance projects are completed safely and on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment while supporting all maintenance and production team members.
  • Continuously learn and apply new maintenance technologies, techniques, and best practices to improve plant performance.

**Qualifications:

**

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Technical School or Vocational Training preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience maintaining and repairing die-casting machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and drawings.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment, including furnaces, heaters, ladles, hoists, Time Savers, air compressors, sump pumps, exhaust fans, vacuum systems, and welding equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred for Illinois locations.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to stay current with new maintenance technologies and industry best practices.
