JOB SUMMARY:
The priority of the Maintenance Technician is to partner with the Maintenance Director to provide our residents and employees with a well-maintained healthcare facility, including equipment and surroundings. Compliance with federal, state, and local laws is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preventative maintenance and repairs electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems
The Maintenance Technician will help to maintain fire alarm and emergency generator systems to minimize the potential for fire and accidents
Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor
Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
Oiling door knobs, locks, hinges, and gates, as required.
Repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains.
Replacing carpets and wooden floors.
Installing and repairing wires, plugs, and switches.
Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in communal areas
Painting communal areas and exterior walls.
Disposing of trash found in communal areas.
Ensuring that fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency exits remain in excellent working condition at all times.
Scheduling repairs that warrant special technical skills.
