Maintenance Technician

Job description: Work closely with facility staff and leadership to anticipate and correct potential problems or breakdowns of equipment. Repair and replace parts as needed to keep the plant operating at full capacity. Complete preventative maintenance tasks as assigned on an established schedule. Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic pieces.  Ensure equipment and facilities are in safe working order. Adhere to all plant safety protocols including but not limited to company and OSHA standards. Maintain a clean working environment. Work collaboratively to meet company goals.

Reports to: Plant Manager/Maintenance Manager 

Requirements: 

•          High school diploma or equivalent preferred

•          Flexibility and adaptability

•          Communication skills

•          Ability to lift up to 100lbs

•          Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and preventative maintenance

•          Ability to work independently while following established timelines

•          Must have or be willing to obtain COVID vaccination

 

Key Responsibilities:

•          Complete work orders by or before the designated deadline

•          Track and communicate parts and supplies to be ordered including pertinent details

•          Maintain active presence on the plant floor following designated schedule to assist with maintenance calls

•          Complete regular and daily tasks on time as assigned

•          Monitor machinery for proper and efficient operation

•          Observe and communicate opportunities to improve plant and mechanical operations

•          Maintain company-wide DART accident rate at or below 2

•          Other duties as assigned
