This is a part-time as needed position that does not include benefits.

Under general supervision, the incumbent in this position is responsible to maintain grounds outside building and all other properties owned by the CAH facility. Responsible for providing preventative maintenance on all systems, equipment, fire alarm systems, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, beds, scales, and cosmetic repairs of hardware and structures. Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems. Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and orders parts and supplies.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinics and facilitys mission, vision, values, code of business conduct, and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental, and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety, or job performance.
  • Monitors, operates, inspects, repairs, tests, and maintains the HVAC System.
  • Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on all mechanical and other devices on a scheduled basis or as requested.
  • Checks the fire protection system in accordance with established procedures. Conducts the appropriate number of fire drills and documents the results.
  • Maintains carpets and hard floors.
  • Maintains the grounds of the facility and other owned properties to promote a safe and professional environment in all types of weather conditions.
  • Participates in ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Works within established safety guidelines and standards.
  • Participates in regular on-call schedule rotations.
  • Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High School or GED preferred.

Experience

  • One 1 year of general maintenance experience preferred, demonstrating knowledge of and experience with mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems, and boiler operations.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Must hold a valid Montana drivers license.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
