Job Description


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


+ Trouble shooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aspects of production equipment.

+ Diagnose equipment problems and make repairs and/or replacements of mechanisms such as tie rods, solenoid valves, sprue bushings, nozzle heaters, conveyor belts, drives, low voltage, and high voltage electrical systems.

+ Performs preventative maintenance in the facility, infrastructure, and equipment.

+ Able to keep records of work completed in work order system and communicate within the department and other departments.

+ Maintains safe, clean, and orderly work areas.

+ Able to understand and follow food safety requirements per the SQF standard.

+ Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).


QUALIFICATIONS:


+ Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.

+ Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

+ High school diploma or GED equivalency.

+ Training required in one or more major areas of maintenance and/or two years of experience, preferred.

+ Possess functional knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair/maintenance on manufacturing equipment with one year minimum practical application.

+ Possess basic knowledge and ability to use hand tools.

+ Working knowledge of PLC’s required.

+ Basic computer skills, Excel, Word, Outlook

+ Programming experience preferred.
