Maintenance Technician

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join on of our clients team at (1) of their properties in Nashville, TN (37221). The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance, have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. EPA and CPO experience is required for this role – certifications are preferred. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion) or can go direct hire with the right candidate.

This role will be working with (1) community with 375+ market rate units.

Salary: $24-$28/hour DOQ.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 830AM – 5PM.

As a Maintenance Technician you will perform interior and exterior preventative and repair maintenance in our apartment community, including but not limited to general maintenance requests, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and appliances. You will be required to communicate effectively with residents, guests, and team members while operating in a safe manner to uphold safety and operations standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Independently complete service requests and make-ready turns.
• Diagnose and repair intermediate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and building inspections.
• Participate in move-in/move-out inspections.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Respond to on-call and emergency service requests.
• Demonstrate safe operation of tools, diagnostic equipment, and chemical safety procedures.
• Maintain personal tool inventory.
• Complete required safety and compliance training.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 2 years’ experience in residential/multi-family maintenance – preventative, work orders and unit flip experience is required.
• HVAC and/or CPO certification preferred, but not required.
• Beginner experience in two or more trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, preferred.
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain professional environment and appearance.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation as this role will be roving to multiple properties.
• Be able to pass a background check before employment.
