Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for our client in Medina, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for hands-on professionals who enjoy troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment. This role involves supporting production by performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment rebuilds at a busy chemical manufacturing plant. You will work closely with operators and engineering teams to ensure equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. Hours:
3rd Shift, 5:00 pm – 5:00 am, Monday – Thursday

Pay:
$25.00 per hour plus 10% shift differential

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform timely equipment changeovers as required by production schedule
  • Assist in maintenance of an established preventive maintenance schedule on assigned equipment
  • Support equipment rebuilding activities and review assigned equipment for rebuild projects
  • Make timely repairs as directed by the engineering department
  • Assist operators with equipment setup to ensure proper operation
  • Requisition parts, components, supplies, and equipment needed for maintenance
  • Provide training to plant personnel on equipment and process controls
  • Comply with OSHA and SDS standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher a plus
  • Must provide personal tools required for the job
  • Ability to work overtime and night shifts as needed
  • Familiarity with manufacturing chemical plant operations
  • Electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Must demonstrate prompt troubleshooting to minimize downtime
  • 2+ years of related experience with packing or production machines

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with chemical manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training a plus
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in maintenance roles within manufacturing environments

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Work in extreme indoor and outdoor temperatures
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
