JOB SUMMARY
Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow Standardized Work Instructions
Supports the teams in operational improvement
Develops Initial Standard Work Practices with the teams
Quality Checks and Inspections
Problem Solving - Recognize and solve the malfunctioning of the machine and recognize and solve quality problems of formed part
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production, and performs scheduled maintenance and repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Comply with OSHA Safety and Health Rules
Know the proper and improper use of PPE and equipment with ultimate concern for personal safety and safety of others
Communicate any/all issues with equipment that needs to be addressed on weekend or other designated downtime of equipment.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports Operational Performance Metrics and meets targets for improvement
Supports annual operating plan
Cleaning and enhancing their work area
Perform 5S audits
Develop ideas for Kaizen and participate in implementation
Perform other duties as assigned or needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Advanced technical training - mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC
Previous employment in a manufacturing environment
Clear understanding of lean principals and the application of lean tools
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Dependable and predictable attendance
Ability to work unsupervised
Clear Understanding of Programmable Controllers and Robotics
Ability to compare work against standards of quality provided and distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable tolerances
Through knowledge of automation safety - exposure to high-speed equipment
Clear understanding of material flow and Supply Chain Management
Physical strength and stamina
