Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Preventive Maintenance Technician to support our maintenance team by performing routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance activities on production equipment. This position is ideal for candidates with mechanical experience, basic electrical knowledge, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment according to established schedules.
- Clean, inspect, and document equipment conditions using a tablet-based maintenance system.
- Verify oil levels and add oil when necessary.
- Lubricate chains, bearings, and moving components.
- Change oil filters, air filters, belts, grease lines, and other wear components.
- Replace broken air lines and identify equipment issues requiring repair.
- Inspect equipment for worn or damaged parts and report findings.
- Identify and clean oil leaks.
- Create work orders (WO's) for corrective maintenance needs.
- Remove and reinstall machine guards as required during inspections.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical training, maintenance experience, or strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with hand tools and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to read and follow maintenance checklists and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous preventive maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Electrical training or coursework.
- Experience using computerized maintenance systems (CMMS) or tablets for documentation.
