Job Description
The maintenance technician ensures all the equipment is running and performing as it should to ensure that the processes are able to produce quality parts. This will be accomplished by performing quick and decisive troubleshooting that will fix the issue at its root cause. The individual selected for this role will thrive in an environment that changes daily and the tasks that are needed to be completed change as well. The maintenance technician needs to be self-motivated and work well both independently and as part of a team.
Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
Improves and evaluates function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
Meets maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
Repairs equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at facility
Modifies, lubricates, diagnoses, and operates equipment
Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED (2-Year Technical Degree Preferred)
Basic computer and mathematical skills
Minimum of 3 years previous experience
Demonstrated aptitude in the following areas:
Mechanical
Electrical
Pneumatics
Plumbing
Welding
Experience in troubleshooting automation systems and programmable logic controllers (PLC's) is a plus
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift and/or stand-up reach lift
Must pass a background check, including criminal history and drug test
