Signicast is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Available Positions on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.
Days; 6:00 am- 6:00 pm Nights 6:00 pm- 6:00 am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; and examining the function, form, and texture of parts. Fabricates repair parts with machine shop instrumentation and equipment using basic machinist skills. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, digital multimeter, and straightedges to manufacturer or company specifications Controls downtime by scheduling with supervisors and technicians routine preventive maintenance techniques Operate an electric cart, forklift, articulating boom, and manlift
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Good Computer Skills Operating various precision measuring devices and lifting devices HVAC Knowledge Chain Drives Electrical Knowledge- PLC knowledge is a plus Mechanical Knowledge (gearbox rebuilds, belt replacement, motor replacement) Conveyor Experience Hydraulics/Pneumatics Ability to read Blueprints and Schematics Plumbing Experience Read, write, and speak English Ability to safely perform the duties of the job as required
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear Use hands to work tools, controls, etc. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or HSED/GED Equivalent 2-5 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience Manufacturing Environment experience is a plus
