Maintenance Technician
Location: Gaffney
Pay: $20.00 and up DOE

Job Summary
Opsource is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support plant operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment. This role involves both mechanical and electrical responsibilities and requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
General Duties
- Assist Shop Foreman with managing labor, repair, and supply costs
- Support planning of manpower and materials
- Help oversee technicians, contractors, and temporary workers
- Respond quickly to maintenance and repair requests across the plant
- Prioritize critical equipment to minimize production downtime
- Follow all company policies and safety standards
- Perform routine security rounds to ensure plant safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management
Mechanical Duties
- Monitor and maintain air washers, air compressors, boilers, and chillers
- Repair mechanical systems within shop capabilities
- Weld and fabricate piping, metal parts, and equipment
- Rebuild pumps, valves, and related components
- Repair plant roofing when needed
- Operate shop machinery (lathe, mill, grinders, welders)
- Maintain piping systems (steam, condensate, compressed air, HVAC)
Electrical Duties
- Assist with electrical power distribution maintenance and repairs
- Help diagnose and resolve power outages
- Read and interpret electrical, electronic, and pneumatic schematics
- Troubleshoot and repair monitoring and control systems
- Inspect and maintain plant lighting, power systems, and controls
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial maintenance preferred
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Welding and fabrication experience a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
