MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plant equipment which includes, but is not limited to, work on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and high pressure pasteurization machinery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Reads, diagnoses, and repairs machinery and equipment using test equipment and hand tools.
• Performs preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Reads electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, blueprints, and other documents to assist in diagnosing and repairing machinery and equipment.
• Keeps accurate records of work that has been completed.
• Installs new machinery or systems.
• Fits and assembles machined parts/subassemblies.
• Uses lock-out/tag out procedures when required to maintain safety in the workplace.
• Checks assemblies and inspects finished products for quality.
• Ensures proper functioning and correct alignment.
• Works as a team player to ensure APC is meeting the business demands of our customers.

Qualifications
The Maintenance Technician must have experience in an industrial environment. Advanced equipment trouble shooting skills are required. A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is acceptable; a Vocational or Technical Degree is preferred. Must have the ability to grasp electrical/mechanical products and applications. Must have the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems. Understanding of PLC Ladder Logic is highly valued as is the ability to use Preventative Maintenance (PM) Software. The individual must show initiative and be a team player.
