Summary
We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Technician, Electrical. The Maintenance Electrical Technician reports to the Maintenance Electrical Supervisor and performs the safe, efficient, and effective execution of all electrical maintenance work at Venture Global. The Maintenance Electrical Technician is responsible for working with other technicians and supervisors within the Operations and Maintenance departments.
General Description Duties & Responsibilities
Executes preventive and corrective maintenance electrical work according to HSSE processes, procedures, standards and regulations.
Adherence to VGIMS (Venture Global Integrity Management System), VG site maintenance manual and work management process and procedures.
Identify potential safety, health, and environmental work hazards. Understand maintenance work scope and applicable operation and maintenance processes and procedures.
Performs problem solving activities to ensure maintenance and reliability issues corrective measures are implemented. Functions as Maintenance SME (Subject Matter Expert) for electrical systems.
Prepare and create required job safety hazard analysis and work permits under his/her area of responsibility (ePTW as applicable). Ensure permits are prepared and submitted to operations well in advance before execution.
Works with maintenance and engineering counterparts to ensure the safe completion of scheduled maintenance work.
Responsible for daily work progress reports and updates, adhering to maintenance work execution processes and procedures, among other activities.
Manage personal timecard according to VG Policies and Procedures (Vacations, time-off, sick leave, training, "On-call," etc.).
Supervises contractor work execution, safe work completion, and performance according to VG Contractor Management procedure. Reports contractor work quality/non-compliance issues to direct Supervisor and Planning/Contract teams.
Provide mentoring and coaching to others and hold personal accountability for performance and behavior.
Identify and request required special and routine tools/equipment/PPE for the safe execution of maintenance activities under his/her area of responsibility.
Participate in VG Site Ready for Operations (RFO) maintenance projects to develop required maintenance systems, processes, and procedures before commercial operations.
Supports electrical equipment factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT), as required.
Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation of the VG facility. This will include being a vital member of the integrated commissioning / start-up team(s) with the EPC contractor.
Participate in various reviews during the engineering and design phases, such as HAZOPs, 3D models, and P&ID reviews.

Required experience
Minimum five (5) years of maintenance electrical technician work experience in oil and gas, LNG, or petrochemical facilities.
Strong knowledge of electrical industrial standards and regulations (i.e., NETA, NFPA 70E / 70B, NEC).
Knowledge of power generation (Steam turbine, HRSG, and diesel generator) and distribution.
Experience working on electrical systems 5 Kv - 138 Kv.
Applied knowledge of electrical and controls such as medium and low-voltage generators, motors, switchgear, motor control centers, variable speed drives (VFD and VSDS), circuit breakers, protective and network relaying, fuses, cabling, power, current instrument and transformers, lighting, HVAC, AC inverters and DC chargers, batters control systems, etc.
Support of small / medium scale electrical projects.

Job is performed in an industrial plant environment.
Limited travel and temporary assignment required as business conditions dictate.
Subject to drug & alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Venture Global LNG.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work at height above ground on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell, type and write.
Must be able to board a ship via a gangway, climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladder up to forty feet or more in height and lift and move objects weighting up to 30 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors & outdoors, and be exposed to year-round weather conditions, ocean environment, and noise. There are a considerable number of outdoor activities involved.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required to pass regularly scheduled physical examinations mandated by regulatory authorities.
Required to obtain mandated certification by attending company-sponsored training in basic first aid, CPR, AED & LNG firefighting.
