SUMMARY Installs, maintains, and repairs shop equipment. This position performs maintenance, parts replacement, and repair of industrial machinery, as well as electrical and electronic equipment. Required to have at least 5 or more years of experience. This position requires the ability to work with only minimal supervisory direction and follow up.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.) • Work independently. • Responsible for all facility maintenance. • Work with third party subcontractor when applicable • Regular inspection of all electrical and powered equipment. • Troubleshoot and detect problems in all assigned equipment. • Repair assigned equipment as tasked by the Superintendent. • Repair and replace defective components of equipment. • Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment. • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. • Maintain a clean shop environment in work areas. • Repair and adjust hydraulic pumps and safety valves on heavy equipment. • Perform incidental testing on equipment. • Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and communicate effectively in English. • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness on a consistent basis. • Conduct business and interactions with a positive attitude that projects a high level of professionalism. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or Equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands and the work environment characters described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Ability to frequently lift up to 40 lbs. • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.

Equipment Maintenance performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Repairing Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools. Troubleshooting Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Operation and Control Controlling operations of equipment or systems. Precision ControlThe ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions. Problem Sensitivity The ability to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. Decision Making- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
