A well-established industrial manufacturer in the Greater Houston Area is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep their fabrication and metalworking operations running at full capacity. This company supports a broad range of industrial clients with precision manufacturing and has built a strong regional reputation over several decades. Anticipated $25–$35/hr, based on experience

Day shift primary; occasional second shift (rare), 40-50+ hours per week (varies)
OVERVIEW
Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on CNC machines, welding systems, hydraulic presses, and fabrication equipment
Diagnose and resolve issues across pneumatic, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and installations
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable safety standards
Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements to reduce downtime
Support and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed
PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong working knowledge of CNC systems and PLC troubleshooting
Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools
Experience with welding and fabrication for minor structural repairs
Familiarity with coolant systems, dust collection, and compressed air systems
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours emergency calls
Solid understanding of OSHA/EPA compliance and metal shop safety protocols
