The Avalon of Commerce Township is recruiting for a hospitality focused Maintenance Assistant to join our team! The Maintenance Assistance is responsible for assistance in maintaining aspects of the physical plant. Conducting, under supervisor direction, preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment and plumbing repairs; maintains safe working environment and assists other department employees as needed.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistance:

• Perform general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
• Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Minimum one year experience in building maintenance
• One year or more experience in apartment and/or healthcare community maintenance

Job Types: Full-time,

Salary: $20.00 to $23.00/per hour
