Location: Columbia, SC

Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 9 AM - 6 PM

Education + Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school or skilled trades training preferred
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Experience using electrical test equipment, measuring instruments, and hand tools
  • Must provide own mechanic's tools
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in an active industrial environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility systems
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems ranging from 24VDC controls to 480VAC three-phase equipment
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance schedules with production leaders
  • Assist with installing, relocating, and upgrading machinery and plant equipment
  • Maintain facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, and grounds maintenance
  • Support safety initiatives, including lockout/tagout procedures, confined space requirements, and emergency lighting inspections
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and repair materials
  • Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards

What You Will Do

As a Maintenance Technician you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn components, document completed work, and work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.

A Maintenance Technician helps maintain the systems that allow businesses to operate safely, efficiently, and productively. This position requires a strong understanding of equipment operation, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques across a variety of mechanical systems.

The Maintenance Technician uses observation, analysis, and technical knowledge to identify maintenance concerns and restore equipment to proper working condition. Attention to detail and quality workmanship are essential for maintaining dependable operations.
