The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing machinery, equipment, and facility maintenance duties to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations. This role installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment, utilities, and building systems while supporting preventive maintenance initiatives and minimizing operational downtime.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform installation, relocation, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, water, and compressed air systems
Diagnose equipment and machine issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
Perform general building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and facility repairs
Conduct preventive maintenance activities on equipment and facility systems as assigned
Monitor maintenance inventory levels and requisition necessary parts, materials, and supplies
Maintain accurate maintenance records, including preventive maintenance documentation and repair logs
Ensure routine maintenance activities are completed according to established schedules to reduce equipment failures and operational disruptions
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards
Assist with continuous improvement efforts related to maintenance processes and equipment reliability
Support additional maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned
Education, Training and Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical training or maintenance-related certification preferred
Industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related certifications are considered a plus
Experience:
3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
Experience with troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment and facility systems preferred
Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment strongly preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands and arms to handle tools and equipment
Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Ability to work overtime and off-shift hours as needed
Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving equipment
May occasionally travel to other company locations as needed
