Production - Maintenance Technician

Our Maintenance Technician Schedule:

Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 3:00pm and Friday, 5:45am to 1:45pm

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance to all GNC - CF facilities by performing the following duties:

  1. Performs electromechanical repairs, preventative maintenance and maintenance of all equipment to ensure continuous production operations.

  2. Performs electromechanical maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, water, electric power, gas and air required for smooth, uninterrupted operations.

  3. Maintains the company security, fire alarm and sprinkler systems.

  4. Assists maintenance manager, supervisors and maintenance staff with the operation of the Reliability programs (TPM and Preventative Maintenance.)

  5. Inspects and insures that ALL machines and equipment conform to safety, electrical, and mechanical operational quality standards.

  6. Assists with the implementation of new methods and procedures designed to improve safety, operations, minimize operating costs and effect greater utilization of equipment, labor and materials.

  7. Requisitions tools, electrical test equipment and maintenance supplies required for plant operation.

  8. Keeps an up-to-date inventory and file of all machine parts and maintenance supplies.

  9. Confers with maintenance manager, production manager, maintenance lead, supervisors and other appropriate personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve safety, operations and conditions of machines, equipment and processes.

  10. Keeps maintenance area neat, clean and orderly; cleans up after completing maintenance work throughout the plant.

  11. Monitors building and exterior grounds to keep all areas clean and neat.

  12. Records and files complete machine histories relating to maintenance problems and solutions, troubleshooting methods, services required, spare parts and parts vendors.

Expectation:

High school diploma or equivalency with two years of additional education in a maintenance related field (Automation Engineering, Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics) OR five (5) years' experience in an electromechanical position

Ability to operate a computer, a wide range of hand tools, test instruments, machining equipment, and maintenance equipment.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, decimals and percentages.

Ability to follow written, verbal or diagrammatic instructions or blueprints, and reading of schematic diagrams.

Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively, work effectively under pressure and deadlines, analyze problems, propose reasonable solutions, make logical decisions, carry out decisions made and follow up with feedback where appropriate

Ability to identify and distinguish color
