Job Summary:
RenewCrew Home Services provides maintenance, make-ready, and repair services across a growing portfolio of rental properties in the Chattanooga area — including both long-term residential rentals and short-term vacation rentals. We are looking for a skilled Handyman to join our team!

We're hiring a skilled technician who takes pride in doing quality work and representing a professional company. You'll be the person owners, residents and the team counts on when something goes wrong — and the reason properties stay in top condition between tenants and guests. This is a hands-on skilled trade role with real variety, consistent work, and room to grow with a company that's expanding. Significant past experience as a professional maintenance worker is highly preferred and a positive attitude is a must!

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair issues across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and general building systems
  • Complete unit turns between tenants — painting, patching, cleaning, fixture replacement, and full punch-list work
  • Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Conduct preventive maintenance walkthroughs and flag issues before they escalate
  • Respond to work orders efficiently, keeping all team members informed throughout
  • Document all completed work with photos, notes, and material receipts for accurate property records
  • Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and manage on-hand inventory of common repair supplies
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on, professional experience in residential maintenance, property services, or a skilled trade (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, or comparable)
  • Broad working knowledge across multiple trades — able to diagnose and resolve most issues independently without calling a specialist every time
  • Proven experience with unit turns and property make-ready work
  • Strong troubleshooting ability — you find the root cause, not just the symptom
  • Professional demeanor and clear communication with residents, property owners, and the management team
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; must be able to pass a background check
  • Basic smartphone use for work orders, documentation, and team communication
  • Must be qualified to perform at heights above thirty (30) feet with the use of a ladder, lift, or bucket truck boom
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs on a consistent basis
