TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician in the East Houston, TX Area!
WORK ENVIRONMENT: In-Person, Industrial/Warehouse Environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance procedures on forklifts, company trucks, and processing equipment.
Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment and report findings to the Maintenance Manager or Department Head.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on processing equipment.
Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble production equipment and machinery.
Monitor inventory levels of maintenance parts and supplies and communicate shortages to management.
Communicate with production and operating personnel regarding equipment issues and repair status.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, especially after completing maintenance and repair tasks.
Assist other maintenance team members with repairs and maintenance projects throughout the facility.
Participate in training programs to improve technical and maintenance skills.
Coordinate maintenance activities to support efficient workflow and production operations.
Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and work instructions.
Assist with training new maintenance employees when needed.
Perform duties of related maintenance positions, including Maintenance Helper responsibilities, to support operational needs.
Complete additional duties as assigned to maintain safe and efficient warehouse and production operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required.
12 months of maintenance, mechanical, industrial, or related experience preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, equipment operating manuals, blueprints, and technical documents.
Ability to read tape measures, micrometers, and bar mics.
Experience operating forklifts and jib cranes preferred.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and industrial equipment maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to write routine reports and maintenance documentation.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and measurements.
Ability to collect information, analyze problems, and determine effective repair solutions.
PAY RATE: $30-34
SCHEDULE: 6AM-2:30PM
