Qualifications and Details about the Position

A fiber optic technician installs, maintains, and repairs high-speed fiber optic networks and cables. Key duties include fusion splicing, testing signal strength, and troubleshooting network faults

• Installation: Run indoor and outdoor fiber cables, set up distribution hubs, and activate optical network terminals (ONT).
• Splicing and Termination: Join glass fibers using fusion splicers and configure connectors (LC, SC, FC).
• Testing and Repair: Use visual fault locators (VFL), power meters, and OTDR testers to find breaks, bends, or signal loss.
• Customer Support: Set up routers, connect devices, and verify high-speed internet, television, or phone signals
