Maintenance Technician Main Purpose We are seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring all units and common areas remain in optimal condition. This role requires a well-rounded technical skill set across multiple systems, supporting resident safety, comfort, and overall property performance while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with established quality standards. Essential Functions General Maintenance of Residential Units • Perform assigned preventive and corrective maintenance tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance systems. • Identify and report damages or deficiencies, preventing major malfunctions and ensuring resident safety. Make-Ready for New Rentals • Prepare units for new residents, including HVAC checks, painting, minor repairs, and upgrades to ensure readiness. Cleaning and Maintenance of Common Areas • Maintain common areas to ensure a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for residents. Performance Monitoring • Complete work orders within established timelines. • Support the tracking and follow-up of key operational indicators. Operational Support • Communicate effectively with the Property Management team regarding progress, delays, or special requirements. • Support inspections and coordinate with vendors as needed. • Participate in on-call rotations and be available to respond to emergency maintenance needs, including weekends as required. Standards & Compliance • Follow organizational policies and industry regulations, including EPA standards for refrigerant handling. • Deliver high-quality service while ensuring compliance with safety and legal requirements. • Actively participate in continuous improvement and skills development. Qualifications & Requirements • Education: EPA Certification – Refrigerant Handling License (required). • Experience: Minimum 1 year in maintenance roles preferred. • Knowledge: Solid experience across HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, and general maintenance. • Systems: Familiarity with maintenance management systems (work order tracking, inspections, and reporting tools). • Languages: English – B1, Spanish – B1. • Availability: Willingness to work on-call for emergency situations, including weekends as needed |
