Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of apartment, residential, or related maintenance experience required
- EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) required
- HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, carpentry, and general building maintenance
- Ability to participate in an after-hours/on-call rotation
- Must have basic hand tools and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Diagnose and repair issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents (make-ready / turns)
- Perform preventive maintenance and property inspections
- Maintain community grounds, amenities, and common areas
- Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations
- Assist with inventory and maintenance supplies
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and participate in on-call rotations
