Maintenance Technician

**Title: Data Center Technician

**

**Location: Barker, NY 14012

**

**Duration: 5 Months (Contract to Hire)

**Hours:

**Initial Training (Site Induction) would take place on day shift8pm - 8amThis is a 4X3 day work schedule/ 12-hour shifts/ non-rotating

**

**Team Overview:

**

• Some independent work and some teamwork

**Resource's typical working day:

**

• Monitor and raise awareness for issues, repair work is not needed

• Chillers and Cooling towers

• Pumps

• Valves

• Fire Protection Systems

• Heat exchangers and liquid cooling systems

**Licenses/Certifications:

**

None required, HVAC or electrician license is a big plus

**Must Have Skills:

**

• Some knowledge of SCADA, BMS, system

• Ability to work under pressure in critical environments

• Effective communicator, can escalate issues quickly

• . Perform Inspections

• Medium- and low-voltage switchgear

• UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems

• Power Distribution Units (PDUs)

• Backup generators and transfer switches

• Battery systems and monitoring equipment

• Monitor building management systems (BMS) and electrical monitoring systems (EMS).

• Conduct real-time system checks and log equipment performance.

• . Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and emergency response activities.

• . Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of electrical systems.

• Experience in critical environment is a must

• h.s. diploma or GED, trade school is a plus
