Our client is looking to add a maintenance technician to their team out of Akron! Our client is a world leader in the manufacturing of thermoplastic and molded plastic components for the automotive industry. Having been in business for close to 40 years, they show no signs of slowing down and are looking for experienced technicians to come in and make a difference on their team.
Qualified candidates will need to have 3 years of proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Performs routine preventive maintenance and ensures that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate effectively. Diagnosing and maintaining mechanical systems, equipment and controls is essential.
- Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as blow molds and presses. Replaces faulty electronic components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices.
- Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
- Replaces electronic motor bearings and rewires motors.
- Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts and assemble new equipment.
- Troubleshooting industrial controls, PLC, and drives.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with industrial maintenance
- PLC knowledge/experience
- Experience with switches and relays
- Strong Mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics is preferred
