What Youll Be Doing
Join our maintenance team supporting 151 Unit apartment community in the Abingdon, MD area. Were looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician who enjoys troubleshooting, takes ownership of their work, and is committed to delivering outstanding service to residents every day.
This role is ideal for a technician with experience in HVAC, appliance repair, and plumbing who values teamwork, continuous learning, and creating a positive living experience for residents. As a Maintenance Technician at Morgan Properties, You Will:
- Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues including PTAC HVAC systems, plumbing, appliances, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems
- Complete service requests accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service to residents
- Perform apartment turns, make-ready work, and preventive maintenance tasks to prepare homes for new residents
- Maintain the appearance, safety, and overall condition of community grounds and common areas
- Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members regarding repairs and service updates
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule approximately every three weeks and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed
- Utilize mobile technology and maintenance applications to manage work orders and document completed repairs
- Work collaboratively with the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, and maintenance team to support community operations
- Demonstrate accountability, respect, and a commitment to quality while helping create an exceptional resident experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
- Up to 50% Rent Discount
- Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions
- Morgan Essentials: $300 Quarterly
- On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone

Hours & Schedule
- Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Rotating on-call schedule approximately every 3 weeks
- Availability during emergency situations and weather-related events required
- Schedule subject to change based on business needs
What Well Expect From You
- Apartment maintenance experience preferred; intermediate-level technicians encouraged to apply
- Experience troubleshooting HVAC systems, appliance repairs, and plumbing issues
- PTAC HVAC experience strongly preferred
- EPA Certification is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to use smartphones, mobile applications, and basic computer programs
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to continue developing your skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required
- Must live within a reasonable distance to support on-call responsibilities
