Salary Range: $23.00 - $38.00 Hourly (Depending Upon Experience) (Plus $1.25 Hourly Shift Differential)

Education: High School Diploma (Minimum)

Background: Candidates must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen

Ideal Candidate: Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing, Plant, or Industrial setting. Candidate will need PLC Troubleshooting experience. Welding and Pipefitting experience are highly preferred.

Overview:

The Maintenance Technician will support daily operations at the High Point, NC facility and report to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager. He or She shall have the mechanical aptitude necessary to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, including, but not limited to, tank mixers, air diaphragm pumps, valves, piping, boilers, and instrumentation.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance inspections / calibrations and troubleshoot repairs on plant electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to support production.
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation such as flow meters, flow switches, level sensors, temperature transmitters, actuated valves, and associated interlocks.
  • Complete work orders - both preventative and reactive - as prioritized by department and area managers while continuously looking for adjacent area items that need improvement or are at risk of failing and either proactively addressing or reporting them to management.
  • Maintain work logs, parts inventory, and preventative maintenance records.
  • Assist with engineering projects including layout and design, specification development and preparation, new product evaluation, data collection, process, and maintenance support.
  • Install new or perform upgrades to existing equipment systems.
  • Maintain a clean and overall safe working environment.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience performing maintenance - or equivalent - in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as required.
  • Ability to perform frequent physical tasks such as stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, climbing, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to routinely lift and/or exert up to 50 lbs. of force.
  • May be subject to moderate duration and levels of dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and other environmental factors in day-to-day operations.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, as well as to communicate in an effective manner both written and orally.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving priorities based on business needs.
  • High level of personal motivation, with a drive for ownership and accountability in performance of job responsibilities.
  • Commitment to the highest level of safety, integrity, and ethical standards.
  • PC related skills such as Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills:
  • Working knowledge of intrinsically safe and explosion proof electrical for Class 1, Division 1 areas.
  • PLC knowledge and troubleshooting.
  • Welding and pipefitting.
